ABOUT
Dr. Jennifer L. Stone graduated With Honors from Michigan State University, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Biology. She completed her Doctor of Optometry training at Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. Dr. Stone received numerous awards for her scholastic and clinical achievements, including the Varilux Scholarship, the Alcon Clinical Excellence Award and the American Academy of Optometry Travel Grant Fellowship Award.
Dr. Stone completed her residency in ocular disease at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Hospital. During that time, she also trained with the faculty from the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the sub-specialties of glaucoma, retina, cornea, LASIK surgery and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Stone’s research pursuits have included isolating a genetic link for glaucoma, exploring novel medication delivery systems and educating patients and colleagues about all aspects of eye drop compliance and adherence. Dr. Stone has also traveled to Madurai, India to teach and assist in developing a new optometry curriculum for the Aravind Eye Hospitals, the largest self-sufficient eye care system in the world.
Dr. Stone cares for patients will all types of eye conditions, her primary focus is Glaucoma. Prior to joining Levin Eyecare, Dr. Stone practiced both privately in a glaucoma group and in affiliation with Mercy Hospital, diagnosing and treating all forms of eye disease.
