ABOUT
Joseph L. DeRose, O.D., M.S., is a graduate with honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He completed a dual program which included a Masters in Vision Rehabilitation. He was subsequently invited to sit on the Medical Advisory Board of Maryland’s MVA. Additionally, he served as a low vision consultant to the National Eye Institute.
He also has extensive experience in surgical practices specializing in cataract and refractive laser surgery. He worked many years at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore and taught clinical skills to optometry students.
Currently, Dr. DeRose is working in primary care with Levin Eyecare and never tires of seeing the smile on the patient’s faces when they put their new glasses or contacts on.
